PH film 'Leonor Will Never Die' goes to Sundance 2022

Martika Escobar's "Ang Pagbabalik ng Kwago" (English title: "Leonor Will Never Die") is finally having its world premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival!

The official line-up was unveiled on Thursday, December 9, and the Filipino film was among those that made the cut. "Leonor Will Never Die" will compete in the World Dramatic Section of the film fest — making it the only second Philippine production to compete in the said category.

The fantasy film tells the story of Leonor Reyes, an action film writer and director from the '80s who enters the world of her unfinished screenplay.

The Sundance film festival will be held this January 20 to January 30 in Utah, and also online, for those who want to attend virtually.

Tickets will go on sale this December 17 at festival.sundance.org.
