Rico Yan would always have a special place in Claudine Barretto's heart.
The Optimum Star proved this to be true as she kept some of her precious memories from her late ex-boyfriend, including a handwritten letter Rico gave her.
On Instagram, Claudine uploaded a photo of his love letter dated September 1998, which was the early days of their relationship.
The letter reads, "Hunny, just wanted you to know that you are the best thing that has happened in my life. You are my life! While I watch you sleep, I can't believe you're mine."
"Thank you for being my rock! And hunny, 'You rock.' I love you very much."
Several of her fans commented in the post, showing their love and kilig from the former team-up.
One netizen also asked if the letter was indeed from Rico, which Claudine confirmed with a huge "yes."
Earlier this year, Claudine also remembered Rico on what would have been his 46th birthday.
She also opened up in a recent vlog why she is still affected by the death of her ex-boyfriend, admitting she still loves him to this day.
"I still love him. It doesn't disappear. I think (love) doesn't disappear when the person dies. Even if we're not, we're still there. It seems that what you feel towards the person comes out even more when the man is gone, "she said.
The two have been paired on-screen in several projects in the late 1990s including “Flames: The Movie,” “Mula Sa Puso,” “Got 2 Believe,” and “Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita,” among others, which eventually led to an off-screen romance.
