If you’ve felt a shift in the world lately, it’s probably because BGYO just dropped their first full album and ACEs all over the world are beyond hyped.
P-Pop breakout group BGYO released their debut album “The Light” yesterday, October 7, along with the music video premiere of their latest single “When I’m With You”.
The album includes title single “The Light” and its Bahasa, Japanese, Thai, and Spanish versions and the group’s current releases “The Baddest” and 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards Best Theme Song “He’s Into Her”.
New tracks in the album to be heard in full for the first time are “Fly Away,” “Rocketman,” “Sabay,” and “Kundiman”.
The 12-track compilation, now available on digital streaming platforms, serves up a variety of musical flavors that lyrically speak to the core of BGYO. Whether it’s a summer anthem or a hip hop banger, BGYO’s songs bid listeners to follow messages of hope, empowerment, and self-love.
On the same day as the album launch, their third official single “When I’m With You’s” music video premiered on their Youtube channel. In the video, members Gelo, Akira, JL, Nate, and Mikki show a more laid-back side of themselves in an upbeat song dedicated to ACEs, the group’s fandom.
This back-to-back launch marks the culmination of the group’s two years of training under ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy and nearly a year of storming the P-Pop charts since the group debuted last January.
BGYO’s sister group BINI is also set to release their debut album “Born to Win'' on October 14.
Set to keep climbing their musical ladders of success, both groups are getting ready to perform live in their sibling concert “One Dream: The BINI & BGYO Concert." The concert will be happening on November 6 and 7 via ktx.ph, iWantTFC, and IPTV pay-per-view.
