BGYO, BINI reveal their favorite songs from debut albums ‘The Light’ and ‘Born To Win’

We’re only days away from seeing P-Pop groups BGYO and BINI shine as one in their upcoming sibling concert “One Dream: The BINI & BGYO Concert.”

As they continue to prepare for the concert, members of BGYO and BINI connected with their fans, ACEs and BLOOMs, in the “One Dream Grand Mediacon” held yesterday, October 26.

In black-and-white lounge outfits, BGYO members Gelo, Akira, Mikki, JL, and Nate looked fresh and suave across gorgeously dressed BINI members Jhoanna, Mikha, Sheena, Gwen, Aiah, Maloi, Stacey, and Colet.

In the press event, they talked about their favorite tracks from their newly released debut albums “The Light” and “Born To Win”; artists they would love to collaborate with; and the kind of music they would like to make for the youth.

Question: “What sort of music would you like to convey to the young ones?”

Nate: “If we were to create an album and we would make music for the young ones, I think we would like to make music that would convey a relevant message that everybody can relate with, that everybody can feel po. Like ‘The Light’ is about finding the strength inside you.”

Jhoanna: “Actually po nag-release po kami ng ‘Born To Win’ album po namin and it’s a 12-track album po and ‘yung nandun po, binigay na po namin lahat ng pwede po naming maibigay. Iba’t ibang genre po. Meron dun ‘yung kinikilig, inspirational, meron dung about us eight, and meron po dun ‘yung iba’t ibang language ng ‘Born To Win’ and I think, lahat ng pwede mong ma-feel, nandun sa album na po ‘yun.”

Question: “What’s your favorite song in the album?”

Nate: “My favorite song in the album is ‘Sabay’ po, because it’s very fun to dance to, it’s very groovy.”

Gelo: “Ang favorite song ko sa album is ‘Kundiman’ and ‘The Baddest’ because I like the overall concept of the song at nakapag-ambag din po ako sa lyrics ng kanta.”

Mikki: “My favorite is ‘The Baddest’ because sobrang, for me, it’s a bop po talaga. The beat and everything, for me it’s perfect.”

Mikha: “My favorite song in the album is ‘Here With You’ because I really love the message of the song.”

Colet: “Ako po, ‘Kinikilig’ po kasi sobrang refreshing and cute po nung vibe niya.”

Jhoanna: “Ako naman po, ‘Na Na Na’ kasi very pang-masa po siya.”

Sheena: “Same po kay ate Colet, ‘Kinikilig’ po kasi it’s a chill and cute song.”

Aiah: “It’s ‘Here With You’ because it allows us not only to connect with each other but also to the Blooms po.”

Maloi: “Actually sinabi ko kanina ‘Golden Arrow’ pero ‘Kinikilig’ na po kasi ang sarap niya kantahin tyaka very catch siya.”

Stacey: “Ako naman po, ‘Here With You’ because the song is all about our dream.”

Gwen: “‘Here With You” din kasi whenever I hear the song, na-i-imagine ko na kinakanta siya with the ACEs and BLOOMs.”

Question: “If you were given a chance to choose three artists to join you in your next concert, who do you want to learn from and share the stage with and why?”

Nate: “I think for our concert, our set of guests are perfect for us. But if there were to be another three, it would probably be…”

Mikki and Akira: “BTS… Kuya Iñigo (Pascual)...”

Mikki: “Other P-Pop groups as well.”

Gelo: “Zack Tabudlo.”

Aiah: “Sa amin naman po, thankful kami na maka-collab namin ‘yung three artists po sa concert. And we would love to collaborate with Ms. Sarah G (Geronimo) since she’s a pop star royalty, and then si Ms. Moira (dela Torre) po because we really love her songs, her heartfelt songs, and how she sings po talaga.”

Maloi: “And Ben&Ben po kasi as in iba po ‘yung feels talaga na binibigay sa amin. Feeling po naman uuwi na po kami. Hopefully po soon.”

Aiah: “And actually po before, we could remember na ‘pag pauwi na po kami pinapatugtog po talaga namin ‘yung Ben&Ben songs, because ‘yung feels po ng Ben&Ben every time they sing po, very comforting.”

Joining them on the November 6 show are special guests KZ Tandingan, Kritiko, and AJ Bonifacio. The two-night concert will be available to stream on November 6 and 7 via ktx.ph, iWantTFC, and IPTV pay-per-view.
