The Chinita Princess is now a prank queen!
Kim Chiu has finally taken on her fans’ highly suggested challenge: make a prank video! Tense yet excited, the actress posted the video on her Youtube channel on Sunday, October 17, with a huge caveat: “First time ko mang-prank!”
To start off the prank, Kim explained how she’s going to do it. The premise of the prank is to make her “It's Showtime” castmates believe that she’s having citizenship problems and facing immediate deportation.
“Kunwari, Chinese citizen talaga ako, hindi talaga ako Pilipino. Tapos ipapa-deport na ako sa China. Tapos nahuli kunwari ako ng immigration, tapos overstaying na ako dito. Tapos akala ko, nakapagbayad ‘yung Papa ko dati dati pa, pero pinagbabayad pala ako ng 80 million (pesos),” Kim readily expounded.
Now, this is where the fun comes in: Kim, having created her wildly fictional backstory, will seek the help of her friends from “It's Showtime” to pay off the 80 million pesos. She made a series of prank calls to Teddy Corpuz, Ryan Bang, Jugs Jugueta, and Amy Perez.
As the Kapamilya actress executes her plan, it gets extremely hilarious. Viewers can see Kim really getting into character and pulling off an award-winning (prank) performance. She even improvised along the way!
“Para kasing nagbibilang ang census ngayon, siguro para sa eleksyon,” she said in one of her ad libs.
Aside from Kim’s shenanigans, the vlog showed such sweet and concerned reactions from the “It's Showtime” cast to Kim’s dilemma, with most of them telling Kim that they will help her get in touch with trusted lawyers.
Ryan even offered: “Kung meron ako, papahiramin talaga kita.”
But even Kim’s real tears couldn’t cover how ridiculous her issue is, with “Tyang” Amy almost catching her in the act: “Kimmy, hindi ba ‘to prank? Prina-prank mo ba ‘ko?”
