Queens support queens! Maureen Wroblewitz has nothing but praise for newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Gomez when she posted about her pageant experience today, October 1, on Instagram.

A frontrunner during the competition’s preliminaries, Maureen finished first runner-up on the pageant’s coronation night held yesterday, September 30, in Panglao, Bohol.

Maureen took to Instagram to reflect on her Miss Universe Philippines journey, congratulate her fellow candidates, and extend words of appreciation to her team and supporters.

“I may have not won the crown but I have won a sisterhood that I will cherish forever,” Maureen said of her experience. “What a crazy experience that was but I am grateful for how it‘s turned out and I‘m excited for what‘s to come.”

Maureen continued, “I hope that through me I‘ve inspired you to strive to be the best version of yourselves! I have conquered my fear and I‘m sure I will conquer even more. I‘m blessed to have had the support from all of you. Thank you for everything!”

Maureen also gave a shoutout to Beatrice, saying that she's one of the kindest people she knows.

“Congratulations to @beatriceluigigmz,” she said, adding that “she is one of the kindest, most down to earth and sweetest people that I know. She is a fighter and she deserves the crown! I‘m so proud of her!”

The Pangasinan delegate didn’t forget to mention her fellow candidates with whom she shared this unique journey.

“Congratulations to all the other Queens. We were a very strong batch and we were all deserving of the crown,” she wrote.

Maureen went on to thank her trainers at Aces & Queens, her “manager duo” Rex Benjie and Chinie Go, Zambales delegate Joanna Maria Rabe, and the Miss Universe Philippines Organization. She also penned her gratitude to Hennan Resort and AirAsia.

She finished the statement with a special mention to her province: “Pangasinan, this was for you!”

Maureen wasn’t the first to post a congratulatory message though. Her boyfriend JK Labajo dedicated a sweet message to her shortly after the coronation.

"Congratulations kay Ms Pangasinan!!! Ikaw pa rin ang Ms Universe ko,” JK wrote on Facebook.

So in the words of JK: Congratulations, Miss Pangasinan!
