The Filipino-American film received Honorable Mentions from this year’s Gold List, a collaboration between CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) and Gold Open, which aims to promote Asian-led and multicultural films and their inclusion in major categories in various award-giving bodies.
The Gold List gave honor to “Yellow Rose” as one of this year’s best pictures, alongside Oscar Best Picture contenders “Minari” and “Sound of Metal”, as well as Netflix films “The Half of It” and “The White Tiger”.
Diane Paragas was also recognized on the list as director and writer for her original screenplay for “Yellow Rose”.
