Epik High rapper Tablo fanboys over Lea Salonga!

The internet just witnessed a cute interaction between our very own Broadway Diva Lea Salonga and K-pop star Tablo!

In a tweet last Wednesday, January 20, Lea said she was encouraged to give Epik High a listen and instantly became a fan.

“Thanks to a nudge, I’ve now just discovered #EpikHigh. Where on earth have I been... their stuff is fantastic!” she wrote then tagged its three memebers Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz.

This compliment didn’t go unnoticed with Tablo replying to Lea to say how much of a fan he is of hers too!

In all caps, he said, “OH MY GOD LEA SALONGA!!!!!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU HEARD MY MUSIC!!!! I AM A LIFELONG FAN!!!! WHO ~~ IS THAT GIRL I SEE” Then in Korean he added that he feels he has finally met success.

The K-pop star referenced a line from Lea’s iconic “Mulan” theme song “Reflection”, which he mentioned in another tweet last July 2019, is one of the tracks that help him when he’s feeling “lost and forsaken.”

On his podcast “The Tablo Podcast”, he explained why his playlist of Disney Princess soundtracks means a lot to him.

“I made a playlist of Disney Princess songs. So as soon as I feel like I’m starting on my downward spiral, I already have a playlist made. It’s a bunch of Disney Princess movie soundtracks. Specifically the songs where the princess is in a dilemma and realizes something about herself and her self worth through song,” said Tablo.

“How Far I’ll Go” from “Moana” and “Part of Your World” from “The Little Mermaid” are also included in this playlist.

Epik High is renowned for many global hits like “Can You Hear My Heart (feat. LeeHi)”, “Lovedrunk”, and “Lullaby For A Cat” among many others.

Lea is a Tony and Grammy award-nominee and a Broadway veteran. She's also starring in the critically-acclaimed Fil-Am film “Yellow Rose” with Eva Noblezada, Princess Punzalan, and more.

Directed by Diane Paragas, “Yellow Rose” is streaming this January 29 on the following platforms: KTX.ph, Iwant TFC, Cignal PPV, and Sky Cable PPV! Bagong sine, now na!
