Vice Ganda has expressed his loyalty to ABS-CBN and stated why he wouldn’t want to leave the network no matter what happens.
On “It’s Showtime” last Saturday, January 16, the Unkabogable Star relayed that to this day, he still feels thankful to the ABS-CBN management for believing in the noontime show even when they were facing problems during the rise of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza’s tandem.
Feeling ko talaga, tatanggalin kami nung panahon ng AlDub,” he said.
He confessed that he’d already braced himself for the worst, and he already expected to get a call about the noontime show’s cancellation.
Tapos sasabihin, ‘We are cancelling the show.’ Tanggap ko ‘yun. Tapos, hindi nangyari. Hindi ginawa ng ABS-CBN. Hindi ako nilaglag. Hindi nilaglag ‘yung show,” he said.
That’s why he’s been very vocal about fighting for ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal, which was denied in July last year.
Meanwhile, both Alden and Maine went on to star in movies by ABS-CBN Films. Alden worked on “Hello, Love, Goodbye” with Kathryn Bernardo, and Maine starred in Black Sheep’s “Isa Pa With Feelings” alongside Carlo Aquino.
