Toni’s childhood secrets revealed by Mommy Pinty, Daddy Bonoy on ‘I Feel U’

Toni Gonzaga was placed on the hot heat as she celebrated her birthday on her digital talk show “I Feel U” last Sunday, January 17.

Melai Cantiveros, “Magandang Buhay” host and Toni’s close friend, took over the hosting duties for the special episode where the birthday girl’s parents, Daddy Bonoy and Mommy Pinty Gonzaga, spilled some fun and juicy secrets!

The Ultimate Multimedia Star earned her spot in the entertainment industry with her talent and hard-work, but Daddy Bonoy and Mommy Pinty believe that their daughter was actually born to be a star.

At a very young age, Toni’s parents saw how unique she was. During playtime, they said she would always randomly tell her cousins that she will become famous. And at gatherings, Toni would always be the center of attention by singing and performing for everyone.

The “Pinoy Big Brother” host showed unbelievable discipline as a child as well and got potty trained as early as one year old, Mommy Pinty revealed.

Toni kept headstrong growing up, which she also got to share and practice with her younger sister, Alex Gonzaga.

But when she became a wife to her hubby, filmmaker Paul Soriano, Toni let her guard down. “Toni has a strong personality, pero nung mag-asawa siya, nakita ko napaka-submissive niya kay Paul,” said Mommy Pinty.

Toni also took the chance to tell everyone how thankful she is for their parents and said she wouldn’t be who she is now if it weren’t for them. “Lahat ng mga values, beliefs, and principles na mayroon in life, lahat ‘yun galing kay mommy and daddy.”

She also got a surprise birthday message from ABS-CBN Films Managing Director Olivia M. Lamasan, whom the actress has worked with on the blockbuster film, “Starting Over Again”.

Direk Olive, or more commonly known in the industry as “Inang”, is the one who offered Toni the job to host “I Feel U” and for that, she is beyond grateful.

Toni shared that in 2019, she wrote on her planner: “My dream is to have my own show where I can talk to people and I can interview them.” And in March 2020, Inang came up to Toni with the offer saying those exact same words.
