"Agawan Base" (2011) follows documentary director Richelle (Jolina Magdangal) whose agnosticism is tested when she encounters a child who has a steadfast belief in God despite living in poverty.
As she begins filming a documentary about the lifestyle of less fortunate Filipinos, she gets to know Mano, a 12-year-old religious boy. Mano belongs to a family of informal settlers. He also happens to be skilled in snatching, a trait he learned living in the slums. Richelle chronicles the lives of Mano and his friends as they get entangled with powerful politicians who are currently campaigning in their barangay. Through the eyes of Mano, we see how people below the poverty line are often the victims of political power plays.
Watch the inspiring journey of Mano, and how his faith and innocence inspired others to believe that truth will always prevail and that we must never lose hope even in the darkest of times.
