Maja Salvador confirms new projects in another network

Maja Salvador has confirmed that she will be appearing in new projects under a new network an Instagram post today, September 22.

First, the actress expressed her gratitude for the unending support of her fans, writing, "Ako po ay taos-pusong nagpapasalamat sa mga taong walang sawang sumusuporta sa akin at sa ABS-CBN."

"Mga Kapamilya, sasamahan ko po muna ang aking tatay na si. Mr. M," she said, referring to Star Magic's Johnny Manahan, "Kaya sana 'wag po kayo magulat kung makikita niyo akong lumabas sa ibang network at patuloy makapagbigay ligaya sa inyo kahit sa anong paraan at plataporma."

"Sana po ay tuloy-tuloy niyo akong samahan at suportahan sa kahit anong landas na aking tatahakin. Maraming salamat po." she continued.

In the comments, her boyfriend Rambo Nuñez, as well as her fellow celebrities and friends in showbiz, extended their support to Maja.

In an interview with Rappler last August, Mr. M said that Star Magic has been "in talks" with TV5 and GMA-7 to "explore opportunities" for their artists after ABS-CBN's franchise application was denied by the Philippine Congress.

He said, "Our artists had already been exploring opportunities in digital space. With the rejection of the franchise, cable and cyberspace became the only venues for network content. Almost immediately, instantaneously, advertising revenues began to dry up, projects canceled, contracts suspended. And with that, we began to look elsewhere for opportunities for our artists. Talks are currently underway with contacts from Channel 5 and Channel 7."

He continued, "It will be hard, but the new landscape has, in a way, expanded. We should now do away with network wars and help each other in these very hard times."

Maja was part of the hit primetime series "The Killer Bride." Her last big-screen outing was in the 2018 ABS-CBN Films, Black Sheep romance "To Love Some Buddy" alongside Zanjoe Marudo.
