The Daddies, Ogie Alcasid and Dingdong Avanzado, get real on 'I Feel U'

We witnessed some emotional father-and-daughter conversations yesterday, September 20, on "I Feel U"!

Ogie Alcasid and daughter Leila Alcasid, as well as Dingdong Avanzado and his daughter Jayda Avanzado, opened up about their relationships in an interview with host Toni Gonzaga.

Leila grew up in Australia with her mother Michelle van Eimeren. Now that she's living "full time" with dad Ogie in the Philippines, they have been spending time trying to get to know each other more.

"I feel like we have gone to a point where we have this mutual understanding of each other and our boundaries. But at the same time, he knows when to step in and be there for me. I feel like we've found a really good balance," Leila said.

Speaking about his favorite memory with Leila, Ogie recalled the fun times they had together when she was younger.

"We used to bathe together, kasi mahilig ako talaga mag-bathtub. So 'yun 'yung ano namin lagi," the singer-songwriter shared. "Leila claims that I was quite rough on her. Kasi para siyang tinuturing kong lalaki, so nagka-Karate kami, minsan nasasaktan ko na siya pero okay lang."

Jayda, on the other hand, described her musician father as loving, expressive, affectionate, and a great advice giver.

She related, "Loving. Talagang masasabi ko na mapagmahal kang ama. And I'd say he's very expressive not only towards me, but also towards my mom. He's very affectionate. Very mentor-ly siya. Made-describe ko siya as parang 'teacher' ko in a way. Parang life adviser ko."

Jayda is now 17-years-old. When the subject of entertaining suitors came up, Dingdong answered, "'Yung panliligaw wala namang masama doon."

He continued, "Even me, dumaan diyan. I think Jayda is at that age na. I always remind her, know your priorities, get to know the guy before you are serious. As long as you know how to respect the boundaries, I'm fine with it."
