Anne Curtis has opened up for the first time about her decision to give birth in Australia.
In an interview with writer G3 San Diego for her Instagram live show #LiveWithG3 on Tuesday, September 15, Anne revealed that it was her being a workaholic that pushed her to go on maternity leave.
“Actually, it was a last minute decision. Kasi I have already chosen a doctor and a hospital [in the Philippines],” said the Kapamilya star. “And then, parang last minute I decided na parang I was working so hard kasi. Parang hindi nila ako mapigilang mag-work, so I felt that one way that would really get me to stop working is to just kind of be here [in Australia].”
Anne also shared how her mom Carmen played a huge role in that decision.
“And major factor din kasi was being with my mom. Lalo na it’s my first baby and having her help me through it. Doon na lang ako para mas tahimik, mas quiet. I can really just focus on the first few weeks and months of my baby daughter’s life,” she explained.
On when she'll fly back to Manila and go back to work, Anne said that she is prioritizing the health of her daughter first.
"Given the current situation, na-extend talaga ‘yung stay namin dito because, I mean, if it was just me, no problem. Kaya kong lumipad anytime, ‘di ba? Pero now, I have a little life to think off and she is the top priority. Her safety is the top priority and her health,” said Anne.
