Even the Megastar Sharon Cuneta wasn't spared from the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
In her latest vlog for her "The Sharon Show" on Youtube, the Megastar opened up about not being able to work for eight months now and how she lost several projects due to COVID-19.
"Wala akong trabaho ng walong buwan na," Sharon admitted.
"I lost two concert tours, one with Regine (Velasquez) and one in Australia by myself. This year, I would've been shooting my third movie by this time kung hindi nagka-COVID. At meron akong corporate shows na sunod-sunod. Mga lima yata naka-line up na hindi natuloy. Ang dami na po nawala," she added.
Luckily, Sharon was able to invest in real estate and was able to sell off some of her properties before the pandemic hit.
“Pero sa awa ng Diyos, I was able to sell real estate just before last year ended and that is why I’m okay and nakakatulong. And I’m [also] selling properties," she said.
"‘Yan ang ganda ng pag-iinvest. Kasi alam ko kung kelan ako pwede gumastos para ma-enjoy ko ‘yung pera," she added.
The Megastar learned how to save and invest from her father Pablo Cuneta.
“I have a vast collection because I’ve worked hard for everything I have. And I like things that appreciate in value. Namana ko ‘yung love niya [ni Daddy] for watches. My mom loved jewelry. And I love jewelry because I have daughters, too, and pang-investment sa'kin ‘yun eh,” she recalled in the video.
“I love real estate because that’s what I learned from my dad and it has helped me get through tough times,” she added.
