Last weekend, July 5, Iza Calzado reunited with the team of nurses who helped her fight and beat COVID-19.
In a series of photos she uploaded on Instagram, we saw a happier and healthier Iza posing with the nurses from Asian Hospital and Medical Center whom she is “forever grateful” for.
“Allow me to shine the spotlight on my amazing team of nurses (missing a few though!) from Asian Hospital who gave me the best love and care any patient could ever ask for. Together with my brilliant doctors, I really couldn’t have asked for a better team to help me fight and beat COVID-19. I am forever grateful. ❤️” she wrote in the caption.
Iza was hospitalized in late March because of pneumonia. Her manager then confirmed a few days later that she tested positive for the coronavirus.
Since her successful recovery last April, Iza has been actively participating in spreading awareness about COVID-19. She has also donated her blood plasma for COVID-19 patients with severe cases of the virus.
