If you think "Hello, Stranger" couldn't get any cuter, then this exclusive trivia straight from the director himself might just melt your hearts.
On Instagram yesterday, July 5, the series' director Petersen Vargas revealed that one of the key scenes from the second episode where Mico (JC Alcantara) made a pinky promise to Xavier (Tony Labrusca) wasn't actually in the script, nor did it come from his direction.
"TRIVIA TIME ❕ Mico’s pinky promise gesture wasn’t in the script—and it didn’t come from my direction. It was JC who did it when we rehearsed this scene, and it just felt like the most precious, genuine thing," he wrote.
He continued, "I immediately told Patrick, the show’s head writer, that this should be Mico’s thing, that it could define the way we see Mico breaking headstrong into Xavier’s walls, and well, his life: with a heartfelt promise. 🤍"
Direk Petersen also expressed his gratitude to people who have already watched the first two episodes, which now has over 1 million views each.
"In other news, #HelloStrangerEP1 just hit a collective 1.5M views while #HelloStrangerEP2 is now at 1M views 🥺🤟" he added.
