Angel Locsin politely called Senate President Tito Sotto’s attention on Twitter, following him liking a tweet which accused her of being a supporter of the New People's Army (NPA).
"Hi Senator, I saw that you liked this tweet. I will never support terrorists, nor will I ever support any kind of violence," she cleared in a tweet last June 6.
"You have the right to like any tweet. And we have the right to voice out our opinions. I hope we don’t get tagged as terrorists for doing so. Thank you," she added.
Angel is among the many celebrities who have been vocal about their disagreement regarding the controversial Anti-Terrorism Bill, of which Tito was a principal author. She, together with her fellow Kapamilya stars Bea Alonzo, Anne Curtis, Kathryn Bernardo, Liza Soberano, and Nadine Lustre, among others, have joined the campaign to junk the Bill.
It is of note that the Anti-Terrorism Bill had already approved by the House of Representatives on its third and final reading last June 3.
