In celebration of Pride 2020, here’s a special message of love to the LGBTQ+ Community.
On June 28, 1969, tired of being oppressed, Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and many other queer people led a series of protests which will now be known as the Stonewall riots. That was the first Pride march.
25 years later, on June 26, 1994 the first Pride March in the Philippines was led by the Progressive Organization of Gays in the Philippines and the Metropolitan Community Church Manila.
We are standing in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ Community.
You are worthy. You are loved. You are special. You deserve to be happy, safe, and respected.
Tuloy-tuloy ang laban sa pagkapantay-pantay!
