Kim Chiu personally handed over relief goods to jeepney drivers who remain unemployed during the pandemic.
In a series of photos uploaded by Piston yesterday, June 23, the "Love Thy Woman" actress was spotted with her team distributing donations to drivers based in Monumento, Baclaran, and Avenida. They were also wearing Kim's "Bawal Lumabas" merch to remind others not to go out during the pandemic.
"LUMABAS SI KIM CHIU para sa ating mga jeepney driver! Kasalukuyang namimigay ng relief goods ang PISTON kasama ang kanyang team sa mga tsuper ng Monumento- Baclaran- Avenida," they wrote.
This is part of Kim's various charity efforts after successfully raising funds from her "Bawal Lumabas" merch. It followed the drivers' appeal to let jeepney operations resume under General Community Quarantine.
"Classmates!!!! Almost done and finalizing everything for the proper distribution of the fund that we got from #bawallumabasmerch 🤍. I just want to thank everyone for supporting the shirt for a cause. 🙏🏻 Maraming, maraming salamat," Kim wrote in an Instagram post last June 17.
