Province life was the theme for the May 20 episode of “Rise and Shine” and there’s no better celebrity to talk about his promdi beginnings than Joshua Garcia.
Together with DJ Jhai Ho and Rise artists Kaori Oinuma, Vivoree, and Anthony Jennings, Joshua looked back on his life in Bauan, Batangas, where he lived prior to his fame. The actor then shared what he misses the most about his hometown, including his barkada, the peaceful environment, and the mouthwatering foods that are the pride of their province.
Kaori, Vivoree, and Anthony also shared their own promdi stories, and even challenged one another to do their own province’s accents for fun.
Towards the latter part of the show, Joshua gave tips to Rise artists who are still in the beginning stages of their showbiz career.
DJ Jhai Ho then also tried asking for tips about his love life. He joked, “Paano ‘yun Josh, ‘yung taong mahal ko, hindi na ako mahal ngayon.”
In which Joshua quipped, “Parehas lang tayo."
“Ganoon lang talaga ‘yun," the actor said. "May mga taong magiging parte ng buhay mo, may dahilan kung bakit naging parte sila ng buhay mo. Siguro may dapat silang ituro sa'yo para sa future mo, sa magiging asawa mo, mas ready ka, ‘di ba?”
