Ellen on leaving showbiz for son Elias: 'I want to be with my son in his formative years'

Ellen Adarna speaks up about her life as a mom to her one-year-old son with John Lloyd Cruz, Baby Elias Modesto, for the first time.

After almost three years of being off the limelight, the actress granted an interview with RX 93.1’s Karla Aguas and Rico Robles last April 3. Ellen then initially talked about her battle with depression, as well as her mental health training in Bali.

She also revealed that she has no plans of returning to showbiz anytime soon.

"No, no," she pressed. "I don't want to say, like, forever, right? But definitely, not in the next seven years [because] I want to be with my son in his formative years. I'm a very hands-on mom,” she explained.

Ellen's life has changed since becoming a mother. According to her, her routine now usually starts by waking up at around 5 AM and meditating for around 30 minutes. She then attends to her son and “waits until he wakes up.”

However, Ellen still tries to have some balance in her life, striving to give the best care to Baby Elias while still enjoying “me time.”

"Me time is essential to be a happy individual," Ellen said.

Prior to taking a hiatus in showbiz, the actress starred in the romantic-drama film “You’re Still the One” alongside Dennis Trillo, Maja Salvador, and Richard Yap. For more related stories, click here:
