Iza Calzado, 'grateful for her life' as she looks back on her COVID-19 experience

Iza Calzado says she is grateful to be alive, a month after she was hospitalized for — and recovered from — the novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

On Instagram yesterday, April 26, the “Ang Iyo Ay Akin” actress shared her learnings from her COVID-19 experience, along with a never-before-seen photo from when she was confined in the hospital.

“The Lord has powerful ways, indeed! Grateful for my life today and always. Even more grateful for his instruments of life - our positive spirit and resilience, especially in our frontliners. This was me exactly a month ago. Every breath is a blessing. πŸ™πŸ½” she wrote in the caption.
