After a successful nine-year run, Vice Ganda has said goodbye to the comedy talk show that fulfilled his dreams as a host, “Gandang Gabi Vice.”
During the show’s last episode aired yesterday, March 8, the Unkabogable Phenomenal Star took his time to thank everyone who has been with him throughout the "GGV" journey.
“Maraming, maraming maraming salamat! It’s been nine years...nine super joyful years, nine very successful years! Maraming maraming salamat,” he said. “Sa inyong lahat, madlang people, thank you very much. Ang laking achievement na magkaroon ng programa na ganito.”
Vice also recalled how once upon a time, the show was just a mere dream for him.
“It was just a dream nine years ago. I was given a chance to host my own show, ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’ and we were promised to do the show for one season. Ilang weeks lang ‘yun,” he recalled.
“And then ‘yung last day ng first season, nagulat kami na sinabi extended daw ng another season. Hanggang nagulat ako na nine years na ang ‘Gandang Gabi Vice.’ Hindi lahat, humahaba nang ganoon,” he added.
The host also took to Twitter to thank everyone for making the show successful. He also assured that “GGV” will be back after some time.
"Mahal niyo kasi ang 'GGV' kaya nagtagal tayo ng ganito. From 12 episodes to 9 years real quick!” he wrote.
“Don’t be sad. No goodbyes. ‘GGV’ will be back. Isang mahabang commercial break lang. I love you guys!” he added.
“Gandang Gabi Vice” will be replaced by a new game show titled “Everybody Sing!" It will also be hosted by Vice.
