Lav Diaz’s “Mula Sa Kung Ano Ang Noon” (From What Is Before) is coming to Cinema One!
The award-winning film will be screened on March 15. Running at five and a half hours, the Lav Diaz masterpiece tells the story of a remote barrio after strange events started happening when armed forces took over their village. It was set in 1972, the era when Ferdinand Marcos proclaimed Martial Law.
The film made its world premiere at the prestigious Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland in 2014, where it also took home the main prize, the Golden Leopard.
It also received the Grand Festival Prize at the first World Premieres Film Festival Philippines in 2014, as well as multiple awards at the Gawad Urian in 2015.
“Mula Sa Kung Ano Ang Noon” stars Hazel Orencio, Perry Dizon, Karenina Haniel, Reynan Abcede, and Mailes Kanapi.
