‘Kapatiran’: A film about fraternities is coming to Cinema One

Pepe Diokno’s "Kapatiran" is coming to Cinema One this March 29!

The documentary drama, which tackles the reality of fraternities in the country, gives us a clearer depiction of why some chose to be part of the brotherhood. The 2015 QCinema festival entry also made its international debut in Czech Republic as part of the 51st Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2016.

The prestigious film fest hailed the film as “a fascinating and harrowing portrait of a social order determined by tribal groupings” for its realistic portrayal of this part of Philippine society.

“Kapatiran” starred Giancarlo Abrahan, Jomari Angeles, Bianca Balbuena, Regina Belmonte, and Bryan Bendanillo.

The late Menggie Cobarrubias also made an appearance in the film.
