Senators and a few celebrities have been infected by the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Among those who tested positive include Senator Sonny Angara.
According to Sen. Sonny, he had been feeling symptoms such as mild fever, cough, headaches and general weakness. He stated that he has not been in contact with the public since taking the test last March 16.
Senator Koko Pimentel also announced on March 25 that he had tested positive for COVID-19. He received the results while he was with his pregnant wife in the hospital.
“Love Thy Woman” actor Christopher De Leon has been under home quarantine after he tested positive for coronavirus last March 17. He was confined in the hospital for a week and was discharged last March 24.

Meanwhile, Senator Miguel Zubiri tested positive for the virus last March 16, although he remained asymptomatic. He went under self-quarantine to further prevent the virus from spreading to his family.
The earlier version of this article mistakenly included the images of actors Domingo “Menggie” Cobbarubias and Iza Calzado to the photo banners and Ms. Calzado’s name in the sub-headline, thereby inaccurately implying they were part of the COVID-19 list. Mr. Cobarrubias passed away due to pneumonia complications. His family has yet to confirm whether he tested positive for the virus. Ms. Calzado, on the other hand, revealed in an Instagram post last March 25 that she was confined in a hospital due to pneumonia. As of posting time, she has already undergone the COVID-19 test and is currently waiting for the results.
