Angel Locsin and her fiance Neil Arce have officially started setting up sleeping tents within hospitals for health workers amid the mass suspension of transportation in Metro Manila due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Over the weekend, the actress asked help from everyone to donate items that “they already have,” instead of asking for financial donations. This includes folding beds, taping beds, and bottled waters that the health workers could use in their tents where they will rest and stay.
Among those that have initially pledged their taping beds were Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, and Angelica Panganiban.
Just yesterday, March 23, the actress then gave more updates about their operations on Instagram Stories, sharing a glimpse of the tents designed by event stylist Gideon Hermosa.
More taping beds were also donated by her colleagues, including Vice Ganda, Lorna Tolentino, Paulo Avelino, Ryza Cenon, Ria Atayde, Pocholo Barretto, and Arlene Muhlach. Nice Print Photo also donated overnight kits and trash bins for the sleeping tents that the health workers could use.
According to Angel, the project was launched with the assistance and recommendation of the local government, as well as wedding organizer La Belle Fête.
You truly are a real-life angel and superhero, Angel!
