If you’ve been a fan of Pinoy movies in the early 2000s, there’s a high chance that you’ve seen “Ang Pagdadalaga Ni Maximo Oliveros” at least once in your life.
The award winning coming-of-age film, which premiered in 2005 at the first-ever Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, has already made its mark in the international scene as it hopped into various film festivals all over the world.
It competed at the Independent Spirit Awards in the U.S., the Berlinale in Germany, the Las Palmas film festival in Spain, the International Film Festival Rotterdam in The Netherlands, and the Montreal Film Festival in Canada, among others.
And this coming March 28, you too will have a chance to catch it on Cinema One!
Starring Nathan Cruz as Maxi, “Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros” centers around a gay teen who falls in love with the young cop who saved his life. He will then be torn between his love for the cop and his loyalty to his family.
It also stars Soliman Cruz, Neil Sese, Ping Medina, and Bodjie Pascua.
