'Dagitab': A film about middle-age love is coming to Cinema One

“Dagitab,” which starred veteran actors Eula Valdez and Nonie Buencamino, is coming to Cinema One this March!

This March 21, you can catch the drama film helmed by Giancarlo Abrahan, which tackled middle-age romance. It revolved around married couple Jimmy (Nonie) and Issey (Eula), both professors and writers in profession. On their 25th year together, their marriage was put to test — Jimmy fell in love with the subject of his research, while Issey was drawn to a young writer who is one of her students in the university.

Things got even more complicated when Issey was involved in a scandal involving her student.

The film, which premiered at the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival in 2014 raked in multiple awards: Direk Giancarlo won Best Screenplay and Best Director; Martin Del Rosario won as Best Supporting Actor; and Eula Valdez won as Best Actress.

“Dagitab” also stars Sandino Martin, Max Eigenmann, Frances Ignacio, and Ronnie Lazaro.
