Exactly a week since her horrible van shooting incident, Kim Chiu has finally returned to social media to share her realizations about what happened.
On Instagram today, March 11, the “Love Thy Woman” actress revealed that she considers the incident a miracle as she and her two companions remained safe after their van was shot eight times by mystery gunmen.
“It has been a week since that day made me realize life is really short, life is very precious, and most of all [that I] felt God’s presence,” Kim wrote.
She continued, “He protected me, my P.A., and my driver. None of us was hurt. He is really powerful among us all. I must say it was a miracle. I could not explain the feeling but I know he was with us and so were our guardian angels.”
Kim then proceeded to thank the people who helped her get through the incident: her sister Lakam, her handler Edith, her close friend Ranvel Rufino, and her bosses at ABS-CBN.
“So many people helped me get through this [and] I am blessed to be surrounded with these kinds of people. They didn’t have to do this; ang dami na nilang pinoroblema but still they insisted on helping me. Now everything is slowly unfolding and I am glad that I am alive,” she added.
“I realized a lot of things: you discover people who are willing to help, people who care for you and people who just want to bring you down. I don’t want to get mad at them or ‘hate’ them. Puno ng pasasalamat ang puso ko. I’m just happy that I am here posting another Instagram [photo] and thanking HIM for this precious life! Tuloy ang buhay!” she wrote.
“Papa God, maraming salamat po. Now no need to be scared. 🤍 Kung wala ka namang ginagawang masama, there is no need to be scared,” she said.
Kim is currently part of the afternoon series “Love Thy Woman” alongside Yam Concepcion and her reel-to-real life partner Xian Lim.
She will star in the upcoming mystery-thriller film “U Turn” with JM De Guzman and Tony Labrusca. Directed by Derick Cabrido, it is slated for release soon!
