Nope, Valentine’s Day isn't just for couples and these stars are living proof of this fact.
While it’s nice to have a significant other to celebrate the holiday with, these celebrities might just inspire you to embrace the joy and freedom of being single—even in a worldwide event that is often associated with love and relationships.
We listed down some of the Kapamilya artists who celebrated V-Day single, happy and contented:
Jodi Sta. Maria
For Jodi, being single is actually a blessing and can be a very good thing. She said during the press conference of her iWant series “My Single Lady”:
"Natutunan mo na mag-rely sa love na meron si God for you and, eventually, yung love na meron ka for yourself instead of a love for a man.”
Plus, being single means she has all the time in the world to focus on her career, to travel the world, and to spend time with her handsome son Thirdy. Now that is a blessing to treasure.
Ryza Cenon
Ryza is proud to say that she’s single and happily engaged with herself. Yup, Ryza bought herself an engagement ring last November as a sign that she is fully committed to loving herself before she gives her heart to someone who deserves it.
As Emma Watson would say, Ryza is happy to be “self-partnered” woman. You go, girl1!
Donny Pangilinan
Yes, girls, Donny is very much single even if he’s very much jowable—but that’s only because he is choosing to focuas on his studies, family, and career. He said in a recent “Magandang Buhay” guesting that “being single shouldn’t equate to being lonely.”
“May masayang mga single talaga dapat. Hindi naman 'pag sinabing single, malungkot ka kaagad. Kung masaya ka sa ginagawa mo, hindi mo naman kailangan palaging may jowa, eh,” Donny said.
Three for Donny!!!
Bea Alonzo
Bea found happiness and contentment in more important things: traveling, the company of friends, and even visual poetry. She has found peace and growth in her time alone with herself, and we’ve never been more inspired to take it one day at a time like Bea.
Arci Munoz
We witnessed her cry on national TV over her recent breakup, but Arci proved that not only can you move on from a devastating heartbreak, you can also do it in style. Plus, she’s got her ultimate idols, the K-Pop group BTS. Who needs a dude when you’ve got 7 gorgeous boys to sing along to, right?
Tony Labrusca
Tony clarified it once and for all: he is very much single. During an interview after his ABS-CBN contract signing, Tony said that “work is better” so there’s no need to rush in love. He also doesn't mind being single for a while! Yaaaas, we stan a career-oriented king!
Nathalie Hart
Nathalie recently dropped the revelation that she’s now a single mom to her beautiful daughter Penelope. She also mentioned in a “Magandang Buhay” interview that she doesn’t need a man to survive and that’s the kind of independence and bravery we aspire to.
