In most romance movies, there is almost always that jowa who gets left behind.
Here, we compiled every Star Cinema movie jowa who was left behind so the movie's main character can have a happy ending:
Jason, Matteo Guidicelli, "Can't Help Falling in Love"
Yes, Jason was controlling and just a tad manipulative to his fiance Gab (Kathryn Bernardo) but on paper he was perfect. However, that’s the very reason why Gab chose Dos (Daniel Padilla). Sometimes, a little spontaneity and adventure is exactly what a girl needs and Jason was none of these things.
James, Ronnie Alonte, "Vince and Kath and James"
James (Ronnie) was the university heartthrob, a basketball star, and looked good shirtless but he still lost his girlfriend Kath (Julia Barretto) to his cousin Vince (Joshua Garcia). Don't worry, though, he got another chance at a happy ending in the "VKJ" sequel, "James and Pat and Dave."
Trisha, Maja Salvador, "One More Chance"
When it comes to having the most painful “hindi pinili” story of all time, Trisha (Maja) gets the korona. We might all fantasize about being the Basha (Bea Alonzo) to a Popoy (John Lloyd Cruz), but no one ever tells you they want to be a Trisha. Because getting left behind by your boyfriend so he can get back together with his ex sucks. It sucks.
Angel, Liza Soberano, "Must Be...Love"
Ivan (Daniel Padilla) might be physically attracted to Angel (Liza), but the connection just wasn’t there. Their personalities did not match, and they didn't exactly have anything in common. But with Patchot (Kathryn Bernardo), his best friend, it’s just effortless.
David, Enrique Gil, "She's The One"
Ah, to have made someone a viral sensation only to have them leave you for their best friend. David, a total sweetheart, did not deserve anything that happened to him in this movie but we have to admit that we have a soft spot for Cat (Bea Alonzo) and Wacky's (Dingdong Dantes) love story.
Belle, Isabelle Daza, "It Takes A Man and a Woman"
Belle was a polarizing figure, and she didn't really get a lot of compassion for her situation, but look, being the woman caught in the middle of Miggy (John Lloyd Cruz) and Laida's (Sarah Geronimo) epic love story must have been tough. No one deserves to be a panakip butas.
Tristan, Gerald Anderson, "Everyday I Love You"
There are relationships that just never felt right, but the two people in it wanted to make it work so much that they just stuck it out. That's what happened to Tristan and Audrey (Liza Soberano). It's not Tristan's fault that he lost his girlfriend — all he ever did was be in a coma and dish out a frankly unforgivable amount of manipulation.
