3 questions we asked after watching the second trailer of ‘Four Sisters Before the Wedding’

The second trailer of "Four Sisters Before the Wedding", the prequel to the iconic 2013 film “Four Sisters and a Wedding”, just dropped a few days ago and we are beyond excited!

The prequel, the first Star Cinema film to stream online and on cable while simultaneously showing in select provincial SM and CityMall cinemas, is set to premiere on December 11.

The prequel’s new trailer gives us a preview of the young Salazar sisters' first loves, but it also leaves us with a number of questions!

1. Who is Jeremy and how could he affect Frodo and Teddie’s relationship in the future?

“Four Sisters and a Wedding” did not give us much of a romantic backstory for the eldest Salazar sister, Teddie (Toni Gonzaga). All we got to see is how sweet and simple Frodo (Janus del Prado) won over Teddie as she struggled with being honest about her less-than-ideal life to her family.

The romance trailer for is a peek into how Teddie (Charlie Dizon) has always wanted to help her family have a better life while still wishing for her “jowa, jowa, jowa” on the side. Romance strikes – literally! – her young heart in the form of soccer player Jeremy (Jameson Blake).

Will their encounter blossom into a relationship? If yes, what could the effect be on Teddie's future marriage to Frodo?

2. Who is John Paul in Gabbie's life?

In the 2013 film, Gabbie (Shaina Magdayao) was tagged as the "old maid" Salazar sister. Several characters point to the fact that she’s never been in a relationship. Gabbie’s non-existent lovelife may have a lot to do with the fact that she was the one left at home to take care of their mom and younger brother.

But in the upcoming prequel, we may see Gabbie (Belle Mariano) falling for classmate John Paul/JP (Jeremiah Lisbo) after he asks her to the prom.

Could this mysterious JP be the real reason Gabbie remained single?

3. What exactly about the Bobbie-Chad-Alex love triangle will we see?

Ah, the great Bobbie-Chad-Alex love triangle! In the original movie, sisters Bobbie (Bea Alonzo) and Alex (Angel Locsin) were barely in speaking terms after Alex decided to pursue a relationship with Bobbie’s ex, Chad (Bernard Palanca).

The new trailer shows younger Alex (Gillian Vicencio) inviting her Ate Bobbie (Alexa Ilacad) to accompany her to a bar to watch Chad (Joao Constancia) perform.

Who did Chad really like first? Are we going to see the sisters’ epic falling out?

We can’t wait to found out!

Helmed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, "Four Sisters Before the Wedding" also stars Carmina Villaroel, Dominic Ochoa, Clarence Delgado, Kakai Bautista, and Cai Cortez.

Distributed by Cinexpress, the movie will stream worldwide starting December 11 on the following platforms: KTX.ph, iWantTFC, IPTV, Cignal PPV, and Sky Cable PPV for only 150 pesos per ticket!

The movie will also be available in SM Cinemas and Citymall theaters. For the updated list of movie houses, check out the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts of Star Cinema.
