Staying at home during the quarantine has made most of us explore more hobbies and be more creative — and where's the best place to do that? The kitchen, of course!
While the world is on lockdown, these celebrities have taken the time to share their very own easy-to-follow recipes. Some of them are Pinoy favorites and some are quarantine food trends, but all of them are best shared with the family!
1. Judy Ann Santos' Cauli-Quinoa Kani Maki Bake
Sushi bake is one the biggest food trends this quarantine and Juday gave her own yummy twist to it!
For added texture to the final product, Juday's secret is putting Taco breadcrumbs on top. She says, "Para pasok na pasok ang pagka-Japanese niya. Saka ang sarap nung marami kang iba-ibang texture na nakakain."
2. Marjorie Barretto's Fresh Tomato Pasta
Celebrity mom Marjorie said her fresh tomato pasta is a hit every time she serves it to her children. The key ingredients here are garlic, butter, and tomatoes — which you may already have in your kitchen!
In the video, her daughter, "Between Maybes" actress Julia Barretto helped her cook the pasta. She said, "It's so fresh, like you can taste the tomato so much. Everything I like in a dish is in this recipe. It's so easy to make, so fast to make."
3. Rhian Ramos' Brownies
Rhian's brownie recipe has no chips, no chunks, no chocolate. What? Don't worry, it's still awesome! Rhian used cocoa powder instead.
In this super easy to follow recipe, Rhian covered all the basics of making brownies at home without the fuss. Rhian said, "It's really up to you what you want to add to this recipe."
4. Heart Evangelista's Pizza
In one of her Lockdown Diaries videos, Heart admitted she's not an expert but she's proud of her personal pizza recipe!
The actress used French bread instead of making dough, and experimented with a lot of various toppings like prosciutto and beef.
5. Richard Gomez's Pork Binagoongan
The very first dish that Richard learned how to cook was Pork Binagoongan! The recipe he uses for this Pinoy dish was handed to him by his grandmother Lydia.
At every step, Richard gives valuable tips in cooking. One we found useful is how he cuts his pork. He said, "When I cut my pork, I like it to be a little big. Kasi 'pag niluto mo 'to, it reduces in size."
6. Dimples Romana's Kimchi Fried Rice
You'll love this Korean recipe because it's quick and simple. Dimples just sauteed all the ingredients together, and the best part was the egg she put on top!
Dimples described the dish as "maanghang-anghang at manamis-namis". Just the perfect food for when we're watching K-drama at home!
