Before she became Jane of "Fan Girl," Charlie Dizon went through a rigorous process of auditions before finally landing the role.
During the film’s bloggers conference on Monday, December 28, Charlie shared that it was all thanks to her “Fairy God Ate” Iza Calzado who served as the "bridge" for her to learn about the audition.
After po noong project namin, bigla pong may audition for 'Fan Girl.' So sabi, papuntahin niyo siya sa audition," she recalled.
Upon learning about the news, Charlie immediately thanked Iza for her referral about the audition.
Sobrang thank you ako nang thank you sa kanya.
Charlie also revealed that Iza messaged her right before the Metro Manila Film Festival 2020 Awards Night last December 27 saying how proud she is of Charlie.
Iza was also among the first to congratulate Charlie on Instagram for her Best Actress win during the MMFF Awards Night.
"Tonight, I feel blessed to witness a star shine brighter. 🌟 I know we were nominated in the same category but I was really rooting for you. I am beyond happy to see you win and thrilled that you mentioned me in your speech. It gives me a sense of purpose beyond self and that is a great gift. How amazing that God used me as an instrument to help you in your journey in becoming the Fan Girl. You were destined for this @charliedizon_ mahal kita. ❤️" she wrote.
Helmed by direk Antoinette Jadaone, “Fan Girl” also stars Paulo Avelino. It is a collaboration between ABS-CBN Films' Black Sheep, Globe Studios, Project 8, Epicmedia, and Crossword Productions.
