Celebrity mothers Coleen Garcia, Isabelle Daza, and Liz Uy opened up about their experiences with "mom-shaming" on the latest episode of "I Feel U."
Host Toni Gonzaga explained, "Basta every time daw a mom feels na she's degraded or she was questioned doon sa kanyang style of parenting, 'yun daw ang mom-shaming."
Stylist to A-list celebrities and new mom Liz shared that whenever people would comment on her parenting style, she would try to learn from it.
"Kasi siyempre hindi ko naman alam lahat eh. Bagong moms tayo, if I don't read about it, hindi ko rin alam. Along the way talaga, you learn," she said.
Model-actress Isabelle shared that it can be very painful to be mom-shamed, but it can also be constructive.
She shared, "I think sa akin siguro when family questioned my choices. I think I didn't realize na it was mom-shaming until I went home and just felt really bad about these choices. 'Yung intention naman is not there to shame you, but sometimes it can be very vicious."
Coleen, who just gave birth to baby Amari last September, is now currently breastfeeding by direct-latching.
The "Sin Island" actress said that she now understands why some parents choose not to post photos of their babies saying, "There are people who can be very harsh."
"'Yung sobrang, 'Saan 'to nanggagaling?' For us, it's just a matter of acceptance na no matter what we say, no matter what we do, people will always have something to say. So it's a matter of deciding whose opinions matter."
