Jameson and Joao believe you can actually find love during the lockdown

"My Lockdown Romance" is all about making connections during the lockdown. But do its lead stars believe its premise?

We found out today, November 6, that Jameson Blake and Joao Constancia actually think that it is possible to find love during the time of social distancing.

Jameson said during their bloggers conference, "It's actually a great time to reflect. A lot of people also, after being busy for the past few months of work... every day they actually come home and they realize they have a life. There's actually a tendency to sort of connect with each other."

However, Jameson and Joao said that they still prefer the traditional way of panliligaw.

"Online is not enough pa rin, eh," Jameson said.

"You can always start, it's always a good start pero eventually you will have to get to the part na you have to meet physically. And I believe na mas okay pa rin yung traditional na magkita kayo, because you have to have that rapport to each other," he explained.

Joao agreed, saying, "You can start off there, but I prefer the traditional way where you go and see the other person, ask them out on a date."

"Tell them properly that it's a date so you guys are on the same page. Tell them your intentions kasi mas nakikita nila 'yung effort 'pag you do something for them - when you go out of your way just to see them, go hang out, go eat, and go connect with each other on a deeper level physically," he added.

As for the people who are choosing not to take love too seriously this lockdown, AKA, 'yung mga nagjo-jowa lang dahil naka-lockdown, well...Jameson understands them.

"You really can't blame the person din," Jameson said. "Siguro may mga tao lang talaga na they are really busy with their lives. And then when lockdown came, their lives were more peaceful, naging less busy ang buhay nila, [and] they focused on that part."

"They tried to find that missing piece. It's very high tendency na mangyari 'yun. I think they connect better during the pandemic," he added.

Meanwhile, Joao gave them advice.

"Take love seriously you know. Honestly, we're all humans and we're looking for friends, family, or a special person. But if you do find that person, if you actually connected together during the lockdown, keep it. Make sure you protect it because it's a special connection," he said.

"Because you guys can connect virtually, so if you can do that, imagine being together pa physically. That's going to be beautiful and amazing," he enthused.
