Zaijian Jaranilla plays the titular role in the upcoming Star Cinema coming-of-age film "Boyette," and his director Jumbo Albano has nothing but praise for his professionalism.
When the project was first given to Zaijian, he admitted that he had doubts about himself.
When it comes to heavy scenes, Zaijian said, "Tinutulungan niya [Direk Jumbo] rin ako palagi, and pinapaintindi niya sa akin."
"Boyette" is Direk Jumbo's first project as a director. He started his career as a creative brainstormer and eventually started writing comedy scripts for Vice Ganda movies.

Asked about Zaijan's work ethic, Direk Jumbo said, "Wala akong problema kay Zaijian kasi sobrang easy niya na makatrabaho tapos talagang nakikinig siya sa akin, he's very professional. Kung may hindi siya maintindihan, talagang he would ask me the day before the shoot kung paano gagawin yung mga eksena namin."
Direk Jumbo also shared that Zaijian would suggest and come up with his own lines and jokes for the film!
He said, "He's very collaborative, he would come up to me and magsa-suggest siya ng lines, ng jokes, tapos nagugulat ako na parang, alam mo funny rin pala 'to si Zaijian, meron siyang mga entries na mga jokes.
