Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber are set to reunite in Star Cinema's upcoming film "Princess Dayareese."
In a recent virtual media huddle, Star Cinema Managing Director Olivia "Inang" Lamasan confirmed that the MayWard project is in the works.
She said, "[We have] ‘Princess Dayareese’ na pangungunahan naman ng MayWard, na na-miss na rin ng mga audience."
The last time Maymay and Edward headlined a movie together, it was in 2017, in the romantic-comedy flick "Loving in Tandem," directed by Giselle Andres.
They were then cast in the 2018 horror-comedy "Da One That Ghost Away" starring the Millennial Horror Queen, Kim Chiu.
They've also taken on individual projects. In October 2018, Edward appeared in a supporting role in the Aga Muhlach and Bea Alonzo-starrer "First Love." Meanwhile, Maymay worked alongside Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo in "Hello, Love, Goodbye" — which is currently the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.
Last October 28, MayWard was spotted touring Bataan together. This led to speculations that "Princess Dayareese" might just be set in the beautiful province.
