OPM icon April Boy Regino has passed away on Sunday, November 29, and his family has shared posts mourning his loss.
April Boy’s wife, Madelyn Regino wrote an emotional message on her Facebook account on Sunday, where she also revealed the cause of April Boy's death through hashtags.
She said, "No more pain sa iyo, Mahal... Sobrang pain naman sa akin... Sabi mo gusto mo pang mabuhay dahil gusto mo pa akong makasama. Bakit mo ako iniwan? Ang daya mo, Mahal! Hindi ko pa kaya!!! 😭😭😭 #ChronicKidneyDiseaseStage5 #AcuteRespiratoryDesease #Nov292020 @3:08AM."

Madelyn also revealed that April Boy’s wake is being held in Marikina.

April Boy’s younger sibling Vingo Regino, who is part of the group April Boys together with their brother Jimmy Regino, shared some of their memories with the late singer.
In one post, he said, "Last picture na magkakasama pa kami nina Kuya April... Nakakaiyak isipin wala na siya.”

In a separate post this morning, November 30, Vingo shared a heartbreaking video remembering the life of his Kuya.
“Kahit ako hindi ko kaya ang boses ng Kuya ko. Iba ‘yung ano niya eh, magaling talaga ang Kuya ko. Hindi kaya ng ibang boses ‘yun. ‘Yan ang talent na hindi kayang agawin ng tao,” he said.
April Boy rose to fame in the '90s and was known for his unforgettable hits "Paano Ang Puso Ko," "Umiiyak Ang Puso," "’Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin," and more.
