Charlie Dizon has expressed her deep gratitude to the entire “Fan Girl” team, as their film is heading to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2020!

In an Instagram post today, November 25, the RISE artist shared photos of her and her leading man Paulo Avelino, with a heartwarming caption.

First, she thanked Paulo. She wrote, "Dati-rati, nagpapa-picture lang ako sa’yo every time may chance na makita ka in person. Hanggang ngayon di pa rin ako makapaniwala ikaw ang naging first leading man ko sa first lead film ko. Thank you, Pau. ❤️"

Thank you so much Lord. I really feel so blessed. 'Di mo ako binigo."

Charlie also thanked their director, Antoinette Jadaone, their production team, and her ABS-CBN family.

Thank you for making me a part of your beautiful film. Thank you, Team ‘Fan Girl,’ and congrats to us. ❤️ Thank you so much also to @project8projects, @black_sheepph, @starmagicphils, and @riseartistsstudio. ❤️”

She added, “PS: I dedicate this film to all the fangirls and fanboys out there ❤️ @fangirlmovie."

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MMFF is going virtual this year. Viewers can watch the official entries via Upstream and GMovies.

MMFF Chairman Danilo Lim said in a statement, “MMFF has been part of the Filipino tradition every holiday season. We will not allow the pandemic to decline our people their chance to see Filipino movies. The cinemas will be closed. At least, the families will enjoy the films at home. Hindi pwedeng mawala ang tradition na ‘yan.”
