Toni Gonzaga, one of the stars of the iconic 2013 family movie "Four Sisters and a Wedding," just received the wittiest cake inspired by the movie.
On Instagram Stories yesterday, November 11, the actress-host shared a photo of a colorful cake sent by her Star Cinema family with a dedication that read, "Para kay Teddie na paborito ni Mama."
Toni captioned the photo with the words, “Thank you @starcinema family.”
The big question is (and in the words of Teddie Salazar): what is the meaning of this?! Will Toni be reviving the Teddie character in the prequel? Will the other stars of the original film – Bea Alonzo (Bobbie), Angel Locsin (Alex), Shaina Magdayao (Gabbie), and Enchong Dee (CJ) – be appearing in the prequel as well?
In the first film, the Salazar sisters, all living their separate lives in different parts of the world, come home and band together to stop their brother from marrying a girl he just met three months earlier. This reunion forces them to face long-buried and unacknowledged pains and rivalries among the siblings.
The prequel, which has recently wrapped up filming, stars Charlie Dizon, Alexa Ilacad, Gillian Vicencio, and Belle Mariano younger versions of the Teddie, Bobbie, Alex and Gabbie respectively.
In an exclusive interview with prequel director Direk Mae Cruz-Alviar, she hinted that the prequel will "answer" all of our questions about the Salazar family.
She said, "Ito 'yung mahabang flashback ng Salazar family, because it's not just the sisters this time. Sino 'yung mga magulang nila? Ano 'yung mga values na naturo ng mga magulang nila sa kanila."
"Maraming bakit na masasagot dito. 'Ah ganoon pala, ah kaya pala,'" she added.
"Four Sisters Before the Wedding" will premiere later in the year.
