"U-Turn" marks Tony Labrusca's first time working with Millennial Horror Queen Kim Chiu as well as his first foray into supernatural horror movies.
He spoke all about it in his solo Bloggers Conference for the movie on Tuesday, October 27.
He has nothing but praise for his co-star. He said, “Nakakatuwa si Kim.”
The former “Pinoy Boyband Superstar” was fascinated to know that Kim is a Cebuana, saying, “Hindi ko alam Bisaya pala si [Kim], taga-Cebu. Marami akong friends na taga-Cebu. Mahal na mahal ko kasi ang mga Cebuano, they have a special place in my heart.”
In the movie, Tony plays Robin, the supportive and loving boyfriend of Kim Chiu’s Donna.
Throughout filming, Tony found it a breeze to work with the actress. He related, “She’s very nice, easy to work with, very professional, wala akong masabi kay Kim.”
The actor was also very open about the challenges he faced while working on a horror movie.
He confessed, “It’s hard.”
“First time ko kasi mag-horror na ‘yung main antagonist is multo talaga,” he explained. “Mahirap, kasi they say nga na fear is the hardest emotion to convey ‘di ba kasi it’s really easy to fake, [but] it’s hard to act, it has to be real.”
