Joshua Garcia, Zaijian Jaranilla, and Charo Santos will star in the upcoming Star Cinema film “Keys to the Heart”!
The movie is an adaptation of the South Korean comedy-drama of the same title. The news has been confirmed by ABS-CBN Films Managing Director Olivia "Inang" Lamasan in a virtual media conference held on Monday, October 26.
The film will be helmed by “Exes Baggage” and “Always be My Maybe” director Dan Villegas. RISE Artist talent Daniela Stranner will also be part of the cast.
In the Korean original, Jo Ha is a boxer whose glory days are over. He then comes across his mother who abandoned him when he was little. He also meets his younger brother Jin Tae who has autism and is showing brilliance in playing piano and video games. Together, they try to become a family again.
Joshua will play the character of Jo Ha, while Zaijian will portray his younger brother.
Zaijian is also starring in the Star Cinema coming-of-age film “Boyette” — his first lead role in a movie. According to its director Jumbo Albano, “Boyette” is “a simple story about a teenage gay boy na college freshman na maraming gustong i-achieve sa buhay.”
Meanwhile, Joshua is also working on the ABS-CBN Films Black Sheep feature “Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan” — which is an adaptation of Bob Ong’s book of the same name.
