Here's why Kim Chiu cried on her first 'It's Showtime' episode as a host

Kapamilya star Kim Chiu admitted that the year 2020 gave her a lot of realizations about life.

Last September, she joined the ABS-CBN noontime program "It's Showtime" as a regular host. On her first day, she couldn't help but cry as she received a warm welcome from her co-hosts Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, and the rest of the "It's Showtime" fam.

During the bloggers conference for her upcoming horror flick "U-Turn," yesterday, October 22, Kim was asked to share why she got so emotional on the episode.

Kim said, "Happy lang and grateful with everything that is unfolding in these last months of the year 2020."

"Kasi 'di ba, masyadong mabigat 'yung taon. And totoo nga 'yung sabi, umiikot talaga 'yung mundo, hindi ka laging nasa baba o nasa taas. It's a circle of life and I'm very happy to ride sa circle na 'yun, sa baba, sa taas, sa gitna."

Kim was also given the title Queen of the Dance Floor on the Kapamilya Sunday variety show "ASAP." Asked how she felt about the recognition, Kim said, "Nagpasalamat [nga ako] sa 'ASAP.' alam ko naman na I'm not the best dancer."

"I can dance, but I'm not the best, pero binigay nila sa akin 'yung title na Queen of the Dance Floor. And masaya naman ako na next year, magfi-fifteen years na rin ako sa 'ASAP.'"
