Star Cinema's "Hello, Love, Goodbye" raked in major wins at the 51st Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box Office Entertainment Awards!
Last Sunday, October 18, the organization held its 2020 awarding ceremony, and "Hello, Love, Goodbye" dominated the film category recognitions.
The romantic drama is currently the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time. Its director Cathy Garcia-Molina won Most Popular Film Director. Direk Cathy, together with Carmi Raymundo and Rona Co also bagged Most Popular Screenwriter for their work on the film.
The Phenomenal Box Office Star title went to both "Hello, Love, Goodbye" lead actors Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards.
Kathryn was also recognized as the Film Actress of the Year, and Alden as the Film Actor of the Year.
Star Cinema won Most Popular Film Producers, awarded to Star Cinema Managing Director Olivia Lamasan and ABS-CBN CEO and President Carlo Katigbak.
Projects of ABS-CBN Films' Black Sheep also took home huge wins!
JC Santos won Most Promising Actor for "Open," and Paolo Ballesteros received the Comedy Actor of the Year trophy for "The Panti Sisters."
"Alone Together" stars Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil were awarded Princess and Prince of Philippine Movies and Television, respectively. Their tandem LizQuen was hailed Most Popular Love Team of Movies.
The 51st Guillermo Mendoza Box Office Awards event was hosted by Bianca Gonzales and Robi Domingo.
GMMSF is an organization that "honors Filipino actors, actresses and other performers' commercial success, regardless of artistic merit, in the Philippine entertainment industry."
