KC Concepcion penned a message of congratulations to her family at United Nations (UN) World Food Programme (WFP) for winning the Nobel Peace Prize 2020.
The Nobel Peace Prize was recently awarded to WFP for its "efforts to combat hunger" and its "contribution to bettering conditions for peace in conflict-affected areas."
KC has been the WFP Philippines' National Ambassador against hunger for 12 years now.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, October 11, KC wrote, "Thinking of the humanitarian organization I continue to admire - the agency that brought me to war-torn areas of Southern Philippines, got my feet and hands dirty at far-flung and disaster-stricken areas of my country 🇵🇭, taught my heart to give to and support vulnerable communities around the world: from the Philippines to Africa, to Nepal... 🌍 Meeting real-life heroes in our UN Headquarters in Rome and New York. 💙 To those who trained me to stay alert and ready to work in teams. I’ve seen the world through your guidance and education."
"I grew up with you and am sending you all my love, my @worldfoodprogramme family. Nobel Peace Prize 2020. Congratulations to all. 🙏🏻"
KC's father, Gabby Concepcion, also congratulated her and the organization through an Instagram post.
Gabby wrote, "CONGRATULATIONS to the UN World Food Programme family for WINNING THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE FOR 2020."
"[KC], You have been the National Ambassador against hunger for the UN World Food Programme for 12 years. Proud of you and the team. Keep up your dedication to humanity. Love you!"
Last June, KC made an appearance on Toni Gonzaga's digital talk show "I Feel U." Watch the episode here:
