'Quezon's Game,' to premiere in London for the Holocaust Memorial Day

'Quezon's Game,' to premiere in London for the Holocaust Memorial Day

Matthew Rosen's "Quezon's Game" is heading to the United Kingdom!

In an article by Jewish News published last January 15, the British paper revealed that the historical film will make its European premiere in London as part of the Holocaust Memorial Day this January 28. It will also feature a performance from Shulem Lemmer, who voiced the film’s soundtrack.

Direk Matthew hopes to "reawaken collective memory about acts of moral courage" as the film premieres in Europe.

Apart from London, “Quezon’s Game” will also have screenings across Europe starting January 31 to February 6. It will also screen in US theaters on January 24, in Norway and Canada on January 31, and in Australia, New Zealand, and Brunei on February 6.

“Quezon’s Game” tells the hidden legacy of Manuel L. Quezon, and his plan to shelter Jewish people who fled Germany and Austria to escape the Nazi regime.

It stars Raymond Bagatsing as Pres. Quezon and Rachel Alejandro as his wife Aurora.
