Veteran actor Lito Legaspi has taken the final curtain call.

Just yesterday, September 8, the actor peacefully joined the Creator after succumbing to cardiac arrest. He was said to have been brought to the Cardinal Santos Memorial Medical Center due to chest pains.

Lito started his colorful showbiz career in 1959 as a matinee idol under the now-defunct Sampaguita Pictures.

Since then, he has starred in numerous films and television projects, working alongside the country's biggest names in showbiz.

Among his latest movie outings were the 2011 romantic film "Catch Me, I'm in Love" and the 2012 romantic comedy flick "Every Breath U Take."

He also had a special participation in the leading Kapamilya primetime series "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" in 2017.

Lito is survived by his family, including his sons Kier and Zoren, who both followed his footsteps and also became actors.

May his soul rest in peace.
